Why did I get into golf? Well.. it had been in my life for as long as I can remember because my dad always played and watched it. And then over the last nearly four years I have been surrounded by it even more as my partner was clearly obsessed with it. So yes, I asked for clubs and started playing when everything shut down last year. It was fine, I was excited and I had fun. Then something incredible happened.

I realized my coworkers were willing to go to the driving range with me. This quickly turned into constant trips to the Par 3 course. Alas, our destiny was truly paved towards being golf-obsessed ourselves, when I hear there is a not-to-be-missed deal to become a member at VGC. Now if you asked me why I love golfing so much, I could give you a million reasons. One of the main ones being that for four hours you go for a walk outside, and compete with yourself. However, for those four hours, you are so immersed in the moment that you don’t really think about anything else. In many ways, golfing is like a four hour meditation with other people. Perhaps that is how these two became my best friends. Out on the links – laughing, dancing, and shanking the ball as often as we possibly can. I cannot possibly express how amazing it is to do this, except to say there is nothing like it. So this is an homage to my golfing buddies, who I hope to play with for the rest of my life.

The odd solo round every once in a while is a peaceful and necessary thing as well. However, life’s best moments are meant to be shared.
